Now remember kids this is not an all night event we are trying something new. we here at the community outreach committiee. please forgive the spelling I suck. Anyway see you all there Feburary the 15th from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.

I know that alot of you know this already but for those of you who do not let be the one to tell you.. GallowsCon 2008 is coming and Pre-registration is up on the website...www.gallowscon.com.. and it is coming to a friendly local game shop near you.. Please help The Hangmen fill the house this is the year..Let make it great.

That is right folks. We are bringing the game back.I am here to tell you that we are bringing back the all nighter. not just the late nighter. We are running role playing games and board games all night long. If you have missed the night of the HOT DOG and you have been waiting, well your time is up. This event will take place near the end of July. We need all hands on deck for this one people. So tell all your friends and family and lets get this done. From 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. none stop games and prizes. What could be better than this. I will see you all there.

There are several meetings coming up this week. Community Outreach, GallowsCon, Publications and marketing will all be held at Jim Dandy's Diner on 51 after the shop closes on thursday. I will be confirming this in the next few days but that is how it stands right now. If you have anything that you would like for these groups to discuss then you should plan on attending.
There will be several topics covered so if you want to have a say in how something is handled then please attend also.

GallowsCon 2008 is almost upon us. I know that it is not until October but that time will fly by before you even realize it. With that said I am happy to say that the basic package for Pre-Registration is up and running on the GallowsCon site. If you are wanting to attend and do not care about getting a Convention shirt then sign-up as soon as you can so we can get the numbers. The Platinum package will be available in the next few weeks at the most so keep an eye out for that. Their are several new things on the books for GallowsCon this year.

Well the first ever "Beat The Geeks" with The Hangmen has come and gone. I think that all that attended had a good time and would probably do it again. The numbers were low due to conflicts in peoples schedules. I had hoped that more of you would be able to test your knowledge against that of The Hangmen. We are not sure if this will continue to be an annual event as of yet but there are ideas of how to make it more successful if we decide to do it again. The Hangmen defended their crown of being the most "geeky". As I said before, I believe that everyone that came out had a good time.

I was surfing the net and thought that I would share. Ian McKellen is all but signed to play the role of Gandalf once again. Peter Jackson is producing the movie and The director of Pan's Labyrinth is directing The Hobbit. It is set to start filming this year. It should be good I hope. I know that I will see you all at the movies the night that it comes out. Just thought that I would let you all know. Also it is almost one week out for the next late night event. Beat the Geeks.. I hope to see you all there.

Yes yes let it not be said that the Slim one is not trying to keep things as up to date as he can, in this regards I am here to tell you all the latest off The Hangmen Presses. It has been decided that the Beat the Geeks Late Night event will be moved from the night that it was scheduled to may 9th. There were some scheduling issues that needed to be worked out and I think that we have them all straight and narrow now. It will start at 9:30 p.m. and run until approximately 3:30 a.m.

I am here again to remind all of you that the first weekend of may will be the "Beat the geeks". At Critical Effect Games and Hobbies. Come out and see what how you compare to the Hangmen with all of your geek knowledge. If your team wins there will be fabulous prizes. There will be more information coming in the next few weeks. Please be patient with me I have some personal stuff happening so i will try and keep up with this as much as time allows.
